Kathmandu. A team led by DSP Baburam Thapa of the Armed Police Force has successfully ascended the Chulu Far East Mountain. Standing at 6,038 meters, this mountain was climbed with the support of 18 trainees and two Sherpas. This adventurous feat marks a significant achievement for the instructors and trainees of the high-altitude search and rescue training conducted at the Mountain Rescue Training School in Manang.

The team reached the summit of Chulu Far East at 6:45 AM on Tuesday. They had set out towards Chulu from Ngisyang Rural Municipality in Manang on April 27. DIG Vishnu Bhatt, spokesperson for the Armed Police Force, provided information about this ascent, highlighting the team's hard work and dedication.

This successful climb not only demonstrates the trainees' capabilities and courage but also showcases the significance and challenges of Nepal's mountainous regions. The ascent of Chulu Far East will further inspire the trainees for future climbs.

The Armed Police Force plans to continue such adventurous activities, which will enhance the skills of young trainees in mountain rescue and search operations.
